I’ve discontinued my personal website more times than I can count and each time I eventually come back. This time, I finally understand why.

From outreach metrics alone, it makes more sense to invest in social profiles and posting there. The awareness, impressions, and reach are simply better. But no matter how optimized my socials are, writing even a short post on my own website brings me a different kind of joy.

I’m relaunching this site because I get it now: I want to think out loud without format limitations. Writing a blog post puts me in a more focused, less distracted state. Something shifts in my head during that process — something I don’t feel on socials anymore.

Don’t get me wrong: if socials are set up right, they’re great for staying up‑to‑date, meeting cool people, and networking (I’m going to be connected – no doubts). But there’s a unique magic in sitting in front of a blank screen, calming the chaos in your head, and laying down a few honest lines. That’s why I’m back.
